I want to be a great memory keeper. This is one of the missions for this blog, to record memories for my children and hopefully, my grandchildren. Too often, I either get distracted (aka lazy) or didn’t want to share sensitive stuff online. That’s when I realized that even though I take photos every single day, I have very little to show for it. Everything is stored digitally, in some storage disk or card that will never get to see light.
Last week, we got the chance to do some crafting, a session hosted by Canon at EatPlayLove cafe. We did up a canvas collage with our Bali holiday photos printed with the latest Selphy CP910, some washi tapes and some pretty stickers. I did it in a short while as it was convenient to just insert my SD card or wifi the photos over from my phone. I have a “design background”, surely this can’t be too difficult to put together.
Little Chuck was delighted to see himself on the photos and helped to put it together (at least for a few minutes before he runs off). There is just something very different about photo prints, compared to looking at them on digital screens. And these are the kind of memories I want to keep for him, even 20 years down the road.
